Acne drug linked to depression and suicide


A DRUG to tackle acne taken by thousands of British teenagers and adults could have the side effect of making them depressed and at risk of suicide, according to new research.

Roaccutane, which first became available in 1982, was heralded as a "magic bullet" in the fight against severe acne, but has been blamed for causing depression and even suicide.
